International Day of Persons with Disabilities
On December 4 of 2025, on the occasion of December 3 – the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) visited Specialized School No. 77 for visually impaired and partially sighted children within the framework of the “Qaldirg‘och” project, implemented at the initiative of the UWED Legal Clinic.

The visit was organized as a meaningful initiative dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, aimed at promoting the rights of children with disabilities, supporting them, and enhancing their social engagement. The project particularly focuses on strengthening the legal awareness and social protection of minors, including girls.
During the visit, UWED students conducted a series of educational, developmental, and creative activities for the pupils of the school:
  • Interactive presentation on children’s fundamental rights
  • The students explained the basic rights of children in a simple, engaging, and accessible manner, ensuring that the information was easy to understand and relevant to the children’s daily lives.
  • Developmental games and quiz activities
  • Together with the pupils, the students organized games designed to stimulate critical thinking, strengthen memory, and encourage social interaction. A quiz focused on legal awareness was also conducted.
  • Creative and artistic activities
  • Creative workshops on origami art were organized, during which topics related to children’s rights and their protection were discussed in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
A representative of the UWED Legal Clinic emphasized:
“The ‘Qaldirg‘och’ project is aimed at increasing legal awareness among young people, strengthening their social protection, and providing children with necessary social and legal support. Through today’s visit, organized on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we sought to share warmth, motivation, and encouragement with the children.”

At the conclusion of the event, students jointly performed the song “Uzbekistan.” This moment added a warm, sincere, and memorable atmosphere to the event, further strengthening the bonds of friendship between the participants.
